We arrived first thing in the morning along with 60,000 elementary school children.  Oh joy. Shortly after pushing my way through most of them, I heard that the “Governator” himself was in the building. I was allowed to take photographs of his office door, but the state trooper guarding the door had absolutely no sense of humor about me just trying to walk on in. None at all. He was equally, if not more offended by me calling him “Ponch.”

It was difficult to get around because of all the kids, and most rooms were closed to the public because people were actually trying to work. From what I did see, I can tell you it’s a classic capitol building with a beautiful rotunda. Part of it is set up as a museum, but most of what I saw was functioning as a place of business.
