Terry's Travel Blog

After surviving the monsoon on the drive to Florida, we were finally able to find the Florida State Capitol building neatly tucked away in Tallahassee’s downtown district.  Our visit was cut short by the unforgiving weather, but we did manage to tour the “old” capitol building which shares a city block with the current building. The “old” building is set up as a museum which celebrates Florida’s history. Exhibits include period mock ups of the governor’s offices, and many others about Florida’s legislative history. We were not able to tour the current building because it was closed. If I were to judge a book by its cover, it was not a big loss.
