Connecticut

We arrived just before lunch, and right before a major rain storm unloaded on us. We passed a sign on the way to the capitol building that read “Connecticut: Celebrate 375th Anniversary.” Pretty impressive. It’s easy to forget how young this country is sometimes. I remember seeing castles in Europe that were twice as old.

The grounds of the capitol were nicely manicured. The building was wonderfully presented. I wish we had more time to go inside, but the roadshow must move on. Secretly, we just wanted to make it to New York City.
